30 Years of April is a portfolio done from February to April 2020. It transitioned from working with paper, paint and textile to only working with solidified pace of paint. This transition was a reflection of the emergence of COVID-19. During quarantining the necessity of paint itself became a form of life, I returned to places within Art that had been left behind throughout the years. La Luz Roja is the last painting and truly illustrates that return, and yet also the shift to a new place within my life. I thank my mentor Sue Hammond West for the guidance while working on this portfolio and all of my amazing artist friends who inspired me to expand further and further into this.
