Diana Lizette Rodriguez
Diana Lizette Rodriguez as an experimental artist witnesses the daily transitions the world presents as her explorations to create, and recreate reminders of impermanence. Through patterns of disruption, disorientation, orientation, and unknown chances,  Lizette fully contemplates and pushes a conceptual intention to lead her more to her roots & culture. She believes in her body. Trusts the guidance and wisdom each piece of work stems from communication with Body. Using her own body to conjure the depth of soul and spirit.  She invests in the animate forms and arrangements of words, drawings, paintings, films, performances, photography, installations, and sculptures. The notion of language becomes a synesthetic process beyond Spanish and English translations towards images becoming texts, texts to audio, & sculpture to film. Multiverse actions manifesting feelings. “Yo creo en mis guías, creo en mi cuerpo porque es el concepto, la razón del arte, y es el convivir con todas las cosas que han pasado en esta vida, en la vida de mis padres, abuelos y los antepasadas. Es la curada. Son las preguntas, la inocencia, el camino de liberación en cada momento de los ciclos de vida y muerte.”
Her body is art. It is the political stance of the spaces which have refused its existence. Body allows the diving contemplations into Lizette’s following & faith. She always embodies the full rituals of her upbringing for her artistic process in order to transform them into a new experiences. It is the marking, the process itself that becomes the necessary and important witnessing to all things away from physical material. Diana knows how the manifestation of answers appears and disappears only to allow creation itself to cross the masses.
Rezo, a todas mis vírgenes que me han dado esta vida, este privilegio de ser y ver el mundo, rezo a mi virgen.
